The event will start with a series of brief presentations which will aim to share the experiences in relation to working or running volunteering programmes with migrants. This will be followed by a Q&A and discussion session. In the second part of the event, participants will be invited to divide into working groups to identify both general barriers and more specific issues which jeopardise migrants’ access to paid or non-paid work. The issues identified will be collated and the discussion will be opened to the floor with the help of volunteers from migrant support groups. The concluding session will include a summary of the day’s discussions and other information sharing activities.
